A few weekends ago, I had the absolute pleasure of getting away with my family for a night to Addo Elephant Park. It was so serene, peaceful and the sounds of nature just soothed the soul and was just what I needed to regroup after a busy few months.
While driving through the park and looking around, I looked ahead at the road in front of us and this message filled my heart. The road was clear and visible, but as it took the bend I could no longer see where the road went, or what was ahead of us; yet I knew that we would still be taking this road and that we would face whatever lies ahead. Whether it be as smooth as the road we had just travelled, or whether it is filled with holes, bumps, or obstacles. I then realised that this sounds like faith in a way.
I have always been told that love is blind, but I’m starting to believe that faith is blind. Because we walk the road of faith not knowing what lies ahead, whether it be good or bad, whether we will be overjoyed or heart-broken; we still walk the road of faith.
Having faith is something incredible but having blind faith whereby you trust whole heartedly and the road ahead that God has planned for you – no matter what it may look like – well, now that’s something totally supernatural.
For me personally, I am still learning to have blind faith, sometimes I feel as if I have got it taped and that God can reign freely in my life and then at other times, I find myself wanting to take the reign back and take control again, ultimately, losing that blind faith. At the end of the day, we are human, and God knows this, that is why both you and I have His Grace and forgiveness to try again and again and again.
Today, I want to encourage all our readers to walk the road of faith, blindly, whole heartedly and wholesomely. Together, lets give every obstacle and/or advantage or blessing to God so that He can manifest it into something that is from the Heavenly realm itself. Is this going to be easy? Absolutely NOT! But will it be worth it? Absolutely YES!
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him”
Psalm 37:23
Before I close off, in case you are wondering what it looks like to walk the road of faith – it is about your own personal journey first and foremost, but it is also about having the courage to stand up for what you believe in, for the hurting, the broken and to uplift each other as sisters and brothers joined by Christ for Christ.
Encourage someone today, challenge someone today to walk the road of blind faith with you. Together, we can build an army for Gods Kingdom out of solid faith that can stand the test of time.
Remember, we walk by faith and not by sight.
May the grace of God be upon you as you walk the road of blind faith today.
All my love, Natalie
